Modelrock Liquid Lipstick Review

Hey lovelies,

So I finally took the leap of faith and purchased my first Modelrock Liquid Lipstick. Now I had pretty high expectations for this lipstick as their false lashes are to die for and I use them on all of my clients regularly. I am quite honestly one of the most pickiest people ever when it comes to choosing lipsticks. What I look for when choosing is; long lasting, non transferable/kiss proof, liquid, matte (non negotiable essential), decent applicator preferably a doe-foot wand and last but not least even colour application, no one wants that streaky/patchy look!

So how does the Modelrock Liquid Lipstick compare to my above essentials? Read below

Long Lasting ~ Absolutely! Even through meals
Non transferable/kiss proof ~ After the first 20 minutes definitely. The first 10 mins or so the lipstick is still drying after it has set it is definitely kiss proof, fiancé approved
Liquid ~ applies as a liquid but dries to perfection, although a little sticky for the first 10-20 minutes.
Matte ~ The shade “Born This Way” definitely dries to a matte! BornThisWay__11532.1462749947.1280.1280.jpg
Applicator ~ The applicator is a doe-foot however it’s quite long and not that sharp like the chi chi cosmetics applicators which do make it more difficult to line the outsides of the lips however being a makeup artist I have 300000 disposable doe-foot applicators so this doesn’t bother me.
Even Coverage ~ When I first started to apply this I was like oh god its streaky and far too light, then after the first full coat it dried within seconds to a darker full coverage lipstick and I was in love! No streaks left and did not focus on dry/cracked areas of the lips!

This lipstick cost me $23 AUD

Since trying this lipstick I have decided to stock this range with my own business and I would definitely recommend freelance artists keeping these in their kit for bridal makeup!

New blog post coming soon ~ C
